It was actually my first trip to the beach this year. Kind of sad but as you say the weather was perfect.

Not sad at all. Summer's weather was downright horrible. Even at 9 AM, it started getting hot and humid. Working out outside at 12 PM in the summer meant if you kept the black freeweight in the sun, it'd be painful to pick up after a few minutes.
